Second Half of 2017 in a nutshell

2017 was an awesome year for PDS.  It was busy and full of several training certifications and events.

In mid 2017, PDS was at Hydes Quarry in Westminster, MD certifying these two awesome divers…

At the end of July, PDS was back at Hydes Quarry again to certify these 3 divers.  It was a fun weekend with these 3 guys…

Mid August is here and PDS had the honor of certifying these 2 Fifth District Volunteer Fire Department folks at Hydes Quarry…

PDS was at Dutch Springs in Bethlehem, PA for the first time in 2017 to certify these 3 folks from Columbia Scuba.  It was a fun weekend.  We did night dive, deep dive, underwater navigation, search and recovery and wreck dive…

On August 22. the day of the total eclipse in the East Coast, PDS drove to North Carolina to meet with an awesome Course Director, Fletch Ferguson to get trained to be a PSD instructor…

On the last weekend in August, PDS was back in Dutch Springs, PA to help out another instructor with his students and also for the Fire Department’s annual weekend of dives and certification…

The first Sunday in October is when the Fifth District Volunteer Fire Department holds its annual Open House.  This is an opportunity for the community to stop by and have midday snacks with their kids and explore all the apparatus at the station.  The Dive Team also sets up a drafting tank and puts a diver in it.  The diver interacts with the little kids from the community via underwater wired communication…

FDVFD’s annual Dinner and Award night was in mid November.  This is the time when certain members of the department are rewarded for their service during the year…
